Qué hacer en Austin... Cuándo, A qué hora, Dónde??

A Legacy of Change features the permanent collection and is organized around five themes:

• Mestizaje & Connections
• Conflict & Struggle
• Identity & Consciousness
• History & Memory

The exhibition also highlights the story of how Mexic-Arte Museum and its collections came into existence, shedding light on the interesting cultural and social background of the creation of a Latino art museum. The permanent collection now includes works by José Guadalupe Posada, Joaquin Clausell, Arturo Garcia Bustos, Arturo Estrada, Adolfo Mexiac, Angelina Beloff, and Pablo O'Higgins, as well as ceremonial masks from the state of Guerrero and fine art prints from the historical Taller de la Gráfica Popular. Most recently, the Museum has become the official archive of prints from the Serie Project, containing notable works by Latino/a and Chicano/a artists.

All Sundays during the exhibition are FREE to the public.
